Clangers toys

As you'll have gathered over the last few weeks, the Clangers was one of the first TV shows I ever watched, and I'm hooked on the new series. So when I heard that there was a new range of Clangers toys coming out, I couldn't wait to see what they looked like. I didn't have to wait long, because just look what arrived a few days ago!
I was really excited to open the package. The toys were beautifully wrapped in pink and blue tissue paper with ribbon round them.

I received two items, the first of which was a Supersoft Major Clanger plush toy, which sells for£5.99. He really is super soft! There are also other styles of figures available, such as the Squeeze and Whistle Plush toys, the Whistle and Dance Mother Clanger, and the Musical Starlight Tiny (prices from £9.99 to £24.99). Hmmm, lots of ideas for my nephew's Christmas here! For scale you can see him alongside my various Tiny Clangers (an older toy which used to whistle, the one my mum knitted, and my clay one).

I also received a Soup Dragon figure, one of the range of collectable figures which are £4.99. I love that the Soup Dragon's head and arms are moveable, so I can pose her in all sorts of different ways, and she's holding a ladle full of soup. She's almost exactly the same size as the clay Soup Dragon I made (which I'll be showing you how to make next week), so they look quite cute together! I think you can get a Baby Soup Dragon too, as part of the Family Pack of Clangers. And there's even a Home Planet Playset which has the planet surface and the living caves.
Now I just need to decide which other toys from the range to buy. I really want an Iron Chicken! And the Pop-Up Froglets are very cheap so I'll have to have some of them too, I think!
Disclaimer: I received these items free for review purposes, but all opinions are my own.

Oh my goodness, soup dragon.
I never grew up with the Clangers, but I fell in love with them about 10 years ago and was so excited when I found out that they were bringing the show back! Unfortunately I didn't catch when it was and discovered when my 5 year old nephew sat down to watch TV the other day that I'd missed 7 episodes :(
I'm playing catch-up now, and now I've discovered I need a soup dragon. It looks so good, too!
