Retrocraft: Pincushion

This 1970s pincushion was one of my earliest sewing projects in primary school- so that's the excuse for the messy stitches!

To make a similar pincushion you will need:
2 squares of cotton 10cm x 10cm
Scraps of felt
Various colours of thread
Stuffing

1. Cut the felt into pieces to fit together into a square of about 8cm
2. Sew the felt pieces to one of the cotton squares
3. Place the other piece of cotton on top of the felt, and sew round the edges (leaving half of one side to turn it out)
4. Turn out the right way
5. Fill with stuffing
6. Sew the edge shut
7. Sew on a small loop of thread as a hanging loop
